One of the oldest known board games and one of our favourites, Backgammon is a classic game that we’ve turned into a camping kit essential.

Our set is made from Australian heavy-duty rip stop canvas, that is water and rot resistant. And features genuine kangaroo leather pieces to create the inside playing mat. Crafted by us in Melbourne the set also boasts genuine leather closures and is riveted for reinforced strength. The wooden chips are hand made by my Uncle in Tarrawingee, Victoria. He uses Australian timbers such as Jarah, Cypress Pine, Redgum or Ash to create two distinctive colours for the chips.

Backgammon is a two-player game where each player has fifteen pieces to move between twenty-four triangles according to the roll of two dice. The object of the game is to move your pieces along the triangles and off the board before your opponent does.

It may sound simple, but this game is bound to bring many laughs, fun and of course some rivalry! There’s nothing wrong with a bit of competition between camp mates, as long as you’re winning right?
